So, its supposed to be like, all things Venice. Saint Mark's lion (winged lion) is a symbol of the city, and the mask for the carnival, and the violin for the music. This was done for the free-topic part of the TRR contest. It is slightly different, in that I sent the unfinished version, barely making the deadline by 2 minutes. I am still not happy with it, I wanted to do a whole ton of detail on the mask, but, I've been killing myself to get this done. Since this is just about all I got to put on the contest entry, I didn't add much more. To violinists: I'm sorry! I'm a musician, but I only took half a semester of violin, so whatever mistakes I made, SORRY! I'd like to see you draw a tuba. Photoshop CS2 art (c) me

Progressive Rockwell by Vinci

Norman Rockwell is one of my favorite artists ever, so here is my spoof of his famous "Triple Self Portrait". The poor man is likely rolling in his grave. The characters featured are from my webcomic; the sweet but easily frustrated Athenian, Vinci, and his spotted partner Arty, who seems to bounce between bitter and flamboyant.

Yao Chi's Mating Dance by XianJaguar

Yao Chi puts the moves on a female, with a fancy mating dance, which includes lots of displays of his bright feathers. Sadly, this is just a photo of the original piece, and it wasn't taken in the best of lighting. I tried to clean it up as best as possible.

catching up with long overdue commissions. heres the first, for Kanashimi Sai- called "kitsune in mourning" or "狐の哀哭" I /believe/ Japanese is correct. if anyone knows of a more appropriate way to say such please correct me- 私の漢字はへたです ._. done in a more 'loose' and freehand style to mimic the old japanese woodblocks.
